Our home is partway up Hudson Bay Mountain west of Glacier Gulch facing the glacier and above Lake Kathlyn. Trees, mountains, fishing, wildlife, canoeing, hiking up to Twin Falls which come down from both sides of the glacier, and the glacier itself straight out our living room window!
We live in a living photo album on acreage, but near enough to the town of Smithers that any shopping needs can be fulfilled. The town itself enjoys a bit of Bavaria in its decor, with the ski hill just across the tracks at the south end of Main Street. Smithers is billed as a town for all seasons and it is certainly that.
We were also on the route and a celebration stopover for the 2010 Olympic Torch Run, exciting for young and old. Smithers also is fortunate in parks and trails which includes a Perimeter trail around the town. It is not unusual from fall to spring to see moose wandering around town. I will be adding links to this page as I come across them with more information.
